‘Stand Your Ground’ – Gun Rights Rally will be held in Harrisburg on Monday, June 8, at 10 a.m.
An event advertisement that has generated interest from over 10,000 people on Facebook is advocating for attendees to “come out armed.”
However, an event organizer has clarified that the rally is concealed carry only, and they are advising that no rifles, or long guns be brought to the event in Harrisburg.

10 shots fired during drive-by shooting on 3rd St. in Harrisburg
Harrisburg Police responded to the scene of a reported drive-by shooting in broad daylight at 3rd and Woodbine Streets. One resident said she heard 10 shots fired from a vehicle.
It is unknown if the suspects remain a threat to public safety.

Crack dealer busted on street with large amount, cash, guns – Uptown, Harrisburg
Antoine Maurice Black, Jr. was detained on the 500 block of Forrest Street. Prior to his arrest, Black discarded a black Glock 23 .40 semi-automatic pistol, and additional ammunition. During a search of his person, Officers found a large amount of cash, as well as crack cocaine. A probable cause search of Black’s vehicle revealed 6 ounces of crack cocaine, street valued at approximately $17,000. There was additional cash found in the vehicle, bringing the overall total cash to $7,398.80.

Three young children abandoned in vehicle as felon with loaded gun runs from Police in Uptown Harrisburg
As the vehicle pulled over in the 2600 block of Jefferson Street, Karelle Middleton exited the driver’s seat and began running south.
When the suspect fled he left three small children in the vehicle: a 3-year-old, a 5-year-old, and an 8-year-old. Police found a loaded Smith and Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol in his jacket. The firearm had an obliterated serial number.

A *13 year old boy is in custody after shooting a 17 year old boy in the chest. The victim is in the hospital and has lost a lung.
An argument preceded the shooting that occurred Sunday evening at a home along the 400 block of Market Street in Highspire, PA.

The suspects ordered the victims to roll down the window and empty their pockets. The suspects then noticed the firearms in the backseat and proceeded to take two of them. After taking the firearms, the suspect with the gun pushed the muzzle of his pistol into one of the victim’s left eye.
