Middletown, Pennsylvania – A bid of $160,000 for the historic Elks Theatre was accepted by Middletown Borough at Tuesday night’s council meeting. The winning bid was made by a company from the Philadelphia area that specializes in STEM education.

According to Mayor James Curry, “The deal is not finalized, as the bidder has a due diligence period.”

More than 100 years of movies played at the Elks Theatre, which has been closed since 2014.
