Cumberland County Republican Committee (CCRC) Chairman Lou Capozzi continues to fail our Republican Party. While Mr. Capozzi espouses his many successes with fund raising, his “blind eye” approach in allowing several Republican Committee Persons (CPs) to overtly support Democratic Candidates in the November 2025 general election resulted in many dedicated Republican incumbents and candidates at the county, township, and local levels to be summarily defeated, including all four Hampden Township incumbent Republican supervisors.
Even after many Republicans voiced their concerns about a growing trend by a handful of Cumberland County Republicans, including several CPs, of overtly supporting Democrat candidates, Mr. Capozzi did nothing. My September 14, 2025, Letter to the Editor: “Misguided Republicans in Cumberland County” articulated this fact, including a flyer for a Democratic Cumberland Valley School Board candidate endorsed by many prominent Republicans and several current (CPs) by name.
Many Republicans continue to question Mr. Capozzi’s integrity. In Mr. Capozzi’s own words – “I supported…Republican Selena Leng for CV School Board, including hosting and speaking at her fundraiser and making a large monetary contribution to her campaign. I stated at Selena’s Event, at the Rally in the Valley, at the Fall Dinner, on Slack, and verbalized to anyone that asked that our Committee does NOT support Democrats and only supports Republican candidates.” Then, why Mr. Capozzi, were CCRC CPs like Dr. Michael Verber, Mrs. Verber, Harold “Bud” Shaffner, and Rose Willis overtly allowed to support multiple CV School Board Democrat candidates without consequences from you. If your public edicts are ignored and you do not hold CPs accountable, then why are you our CCRC Chairman? You had no problem in July 2023, in indefinitely suspending 9 Republican CPs that supported non-endorsed Republicans. I would also point out that Mr. Capozzi officially endorsed (that same year), Democrat Jevon Ford for CV School Board. Ironically, Mrs. Kelly Potteiger (one of the CPs you indefinitely suspended) won a CV Board seat in 2023.
If that hypocrisy wasn’t enough, as of the recent Feb 14, 2026, CCRC Endorsement Meeting, Dr. Michael Verber was present, re-instated by you Mr. Capozzi. This is perplexing given your Dec 9, 2025, electronic message to 200+ CC Republicans stating – “I am not reinstating Doctor Verber to his CP position and have informed the Advisory Board of my decision and also communicated that decision to Doctor Verber.” Should Republicans trust your words, or judge your actions?
Winning elections for Republicans should be the metric for success Mr. Capozzi, not how much money you can obtain from RINO Republicans to feed your ego. Bottom line…integrity does matter Mr. Capozzi!
Mr. Capozzi must be replaced. I call upon my fellow Cumberland County Republicans to share your voices and demanding accountability and restore integrity..

What does Verber have on Capozzi and Nestor? I heard Verber was Nestor’s campaign manager for Nestor’s 2023 election. Now I know why. Nestor bragged that she had 2,000 campaign signs plastered in all townships, but they never showed up on her campaign finance reports. Now we know why. Rules don’t apply to her.

When teachers pull young minds out of class to protest against ICE, they’re crossing a dangerous line.
This isn’t teaching, it’s indoctrination.
Parents entrust schools with their kids futures, expecting neutrality and respect for the law. ICE protects our borders and communities from real threats like trafficking and crime. Hijacking class time for politically biased protests undermines that trust and wastes time.
These teachers, administrators and school psychologists should face serious consequences, including firing. Adults in power positions manipulating children is criminal and child abuse. What adults are instigating this protest? Why do they hide behind the kids? Tax payers and parents must demand the child abuse stop! No more politics, degenerate sexuality, racism and no more hate in our schools. ICE is a law enforcement agency. If you break the law, you pay the consequence no matter who you are or think you are.

Verber’s Political Slush Funds CV Cures and Community Voters of Cumberland Valley seem to have embraced the ideology of “Cumberland Valley Rising”…and CV Board Member Dr. Brian Allen is posting on social media that he and several board members knew about planned student protests (as part of the Cumberland Valley Rising “Freedom Fridays”) a week ago. Then, why didn’t Dr. Blanchard make a simple statement at last night’s CV Board meeting while myself and 150+ others were viewing online? Instead, he waited until over 2,000 angry and pissed off parents and residents dumped all over him for a media post on a website that has 23K followers. Dr Allen just through the CV Board and Administration under the bus. Sad and disappointing coming from a novice and fragile board member.

I have questions.
We only heard about this from our kids on Tuesday. At the school board meeting nothing was said but they started a half hour late because they were discussing issues in private. We then see screenshots from kids on social media about the planned protest. Kids apparently met with officials and got a green light to proceed. A Facebook post about the protest goes viral and then CV Cures member Brian Allen admits everything discussed in secret before the board meeting. He admits he knew about it from a week before and had no plans to stop it. Then he attacks people for reporting this? Now the past board president attacks people on facebook for discussing this?
Are the board members children? Who is in charge of the board? What is the unified message? CV has become a left wing radical laughingstock of the county. We are sick of this.

Now parents know EXACTLY the type of person board member Brian Allan is…by intentionally withholding information from all board members (he admitted this), he DID want protests to move forward, hoping there would be minimal blowback from the public after the fact. Novice (new) CV Board Member Brian Allen took to social media and disclosed Executive Session information, confirmed the planned protest, admitted “some” board members and Superintendent Blanchard knew, confirmed the administration planned to do nothing until after the fact. Wow, did CV have a secret re-organization meeting and make Brian Allen the new president and superintendent of the district. This further confirms what weak leadership exists on the board and administration. Sad.

Did you see other school districts in the state handled this much better? Fully transparent. They called in local law enforcement in a few cases. Others gave immediate suspensions to those skipping class and leaving school.
We have activists on the school board who wanted this to happen. Probably being directed by the dentist Verber that owns them and that needs to stop.
Why are they allowing these groups to indoctrinate children and encourage children to skip class and protest? Wouldn’t the board be liable if anything happened to these protesting children? Does the school have an attorney to advise them? Clearly they don’t and they need to hire one. This is ridiculous. How could a school this big function without sound legal advice and guidance?
