Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Appearing in shorts and a Carhartt jacket, Lt. Governor John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was interviewed by CBS News this week. He spoke about cannabis, President Trump, Twitter, and immigration, among other topics.
John Fetterman has been making weekly appearances on mainstream cable news networks, building up his public persona ahead of his 2022 campaign for U.S. Senate.
“Getting on Twitter every morning is like starting the day with a dog turd and motor oil smoothie,” Fetterman said during the interview that aired Sunday evening on CBS.
John Fetterman boasted about making a mockery of people in his daily posts on Twitter. Cleverly, John said that he “mixes humor and mockery with the cold hard facts.”
The story of John’s wife, Gisele Fetterman, was detailed during the CBS News interview, and an incident when she was harassed at a local grocery store was highlighted. Gisele was called a racial slur in the parking lot of the grocery store, and the episode was captured on video by Mrs. Fetterman. The footage was aired by news networks across Pennsylvania, and featured by the New York Times.
John Fetterman became excessively emotional, and was almost brought to tears when speaking about the racial slur incident with his wife, and about the immigration struggle in the United States.
“We as a country have to be better than this kind of anti-immigration rhetoric,” Fetterman says. “My life has been immeasurably enriched by my wife and her family and her immigration story.”
