Update:
Harrisburg, Pa – Appearing last night on Tucker Carlson’s program on Fox News, Pennsylvania Senator Doug Mastriano blasted state health secretary Dr. Levine, calling for her removal. Mastriano said Dr. Levine must be held accountable for the preventable deaths of thousands of Pennsylvanians as a result of her decision to place COVID-19 infected patients into nursing home facilities.
As public officials in other states have been criticized for similar nursing home failures, Tucker Carlson called the situation in Pennsylvania one of the most shocking and offensive examples. He said Dr. Levine’s nursing home policy actually increased the spread, and that “outbreaks inevitably resulted, thousands died, leaders didn’t care.”
At the end of Mastriano’s interview, Tucker concluded that Dr. Levine’s actions were similar to an insider trading scandal.
Last week it was was revealed that Dr. Levine removed her own mother from a nursing home, before directing state regulated nursing home facilities to accept COVID-19 positive residents who were stable enough to be discharged from hospitals, but still contagious. State inspections of nursing home facilities were suspended during this period.
Mastriano has repeatedly called for the removal of Dr. Levine in response to the nursing home scandal in Pennsylvania. He has been appearing at local events, protests, and on radio and television news programs, as well as daily fireside chats from his home at 8pm.
A protest was held on the Capitol steps in Harrisburg last Friday, drawing as many as 5000 people to peacefully protest Dr. Levine and the excessive stay-at-home quarantine order of Governor Wolf. Other Pennsylvania Senators and State Representatives also spoke at the event, echoing Mastriano’s call for Levine’s removal.
Today Mastriano confirmed that he will be speaking at a rally event in Harrisburg on Friday, May 22, 2020 at noon. The event has been dubbed the ‘Memorial March for Freedom,” to kick off the Memorial Day weekend, and celebrate freedom in Pennsylvania.
Tucker Carlson first exposed Dr. Levine and Gov. Wolf on his program last week.
