The following crimes were allegedly committed by individuals for which ICE issued a detainer to Cumberland County Prison. (Note to readers: Dauphin County failed to produce any information in response to a similar right-to-know request.)
Lower Allen Township: Edicson Marquez-Parada, 53, reportedly of Irvington, NJ, was charged with two Retail Theft-related felonies, in connection with a June 28, 2023 incident at the Capital City Mall. His case was featured on Lower Allen Township’s Crimewatch page, which detailed that the suspects who accompanied him – Juan Camilo Paucar-Fonseca, 20, reportedly of Tinton Falls, NJ; and Monica Coria-Olvera, 51, reportedly of Irvington, NJ, were wanted subjects of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A bench warrant has been issued for all Marquez-Parada and Paucar-Fonseca. Paucar-Fonseca faces seven charges for the mall incident, three of which are felonies; and Coria-Olvera plead guilty to two of six charges. Fox43 also covered this case. Coria-Olvera has a history and was the featured individual in an organized crime arrest story in Allegheny and Butler counties, dating back to March 2018, see here.
Lower Allen Township: Michele Albegiani, 49, reportedly of Centre Hall, was charged Aug. 30, 2023, with a misdemeanor Theft and Strangulation charge. News of this incident was covered in Centre Daily Times and Carlisle Sentinel.
Hampden Township: Rubi Ambrocio-Gonzales, 33, reportedly of Harrisburg, is currently serving a sentence in state prison, after pleading guilty to criminal counts including involuntary manslaughter and possession of drugs with intent to deliver in connection with a Oct 2021 fatal overdose of a Carlisle woman. This story was featured in Pennlive, but failed to mention he was the subject of an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement detainer – for being an illegal immigrant. Previous to the manslaughter charge, Ambrocio-Gonzales was charged in Dauphin County in April 2022 with multiple felony illegal firearms and drug-related charges, and in a separate incident with False ID to Law Enforcement (a misdemeanor); court records show he is currently in SCI-Greene County.
Camp Hill: Mateo Adolfo Acevedo-Taborda, whose DOB and location of resident was unknown, was initially charged with three misdemeanors in Camp Hill for a July 30, 2023 incident, in which he was apprehended for trespassing at the 7-Eleven in the borough. Due to an unknown dialect, police used gestures to direct him off property and he became angry with police – at one point reportedly throwing the officer to the ground. Two charges were withdrawn; and he plead guilty to the lowest charge – Disorderly Conduct (M3).
South Middletown Township: A bench warrant has been issued for Fredi Rosemberg Torres-Jimenez, 32, reportedly of Saint Pauls, NC, who was charged in October 2023 by Carlisle State Police with DUI-related charges, connected to a July 23, 2023 incident. He was held in Cumberland County for one night on date of incident.
