Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Republican candidate for Pennsylvania Governor Doug Mastriano’s campaign has been rapidly gaining momentum as he tours across the state. Poll numbers released this week indicate an even greater surge of support for Mastriano. According to newly released Rasmussen Reports, Pennsylvania Republicans lead Democrats by a five-point margin, 48%-43%, on the generic ballot question.

Forty-one percent (41%) of voters approve of Biden’s job performance as president, including 23% who Strongly Approve. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disapprove of Biden’s performance, including 47% who Strongly Disapprove. Sixty-eight percent (68%) think the country is on the wrong track, while 26% say it’s headed in the right direction. Mastriano’s campaign was founded on a grassroots movement with an army of supporters in Pennsylvania, and many have been following his progress since the early days of the pandemic when he began broadcasting live fireside chats daily. Mastriano connected directly with the people and provided comfort and security for citizens at a time when Governor Tom Wolf and Health Secretary Levine were shielded from public criticism.

Mastriano has confirmed with Harrisburg100 that he is not attending the event at Spooky Nook in Lancaster County on October 21. Mastriano will appear at his scheduled campaign tour stops this weekend near Allentown, Pa.
