Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Three Molotov cocktails were found one block from the Pennsylvania State Capitol after a man attempted to fire bomb Zembie’s sports bar in downtown Harrisburg this week, according to a Department of Justice news release.

Yevgeniy Maksymiv, 33, who is reportedly Ukrainian, was federally charged with attempting to fire bomb Zembie’s Sports Tavern Monday at 226 North Second Street. Police found three Molotov cocktails in the surrounding areas. The bar is one block from the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

An investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began when the man allegedly walked into the popular Harrisburg sports bar with three Molotov cocktails and accused the owner’s son, Jimmy, of supporting Russia.

Maksymiv was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 2, 2022 for maliciously attempting to damage or destroy a building by fire, and for knowingly possessing an unregistered destructive device. He is facing up to 30 years in prison, and $500,000 in fines, federal prosecutors said.

  1. So, how’s come they don’t just release him on no-bond like they do for ANTIFA & BLM? Very unequal justice here.
