Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Mayoral candidate Timothy Rowbottom became the center of the election debate in Harrisburg on Thursday after he issued a fiery press release and posed with Democrat candidate Kevyn Knox at the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center.

Rowbottom’s public statement, which quickly gained attention on social media, explicitly criticized the influence of the LGBT community on children in the city school district, citing his devotion to God.

In response to the press release, Democrat candidate Kevyn Knox initially spoke out against Rowbottom, saying he “has always been a racist, sexist, and homophobic asshole.”

But the opposing candidates quickly squashed the beef on Thursday evening when Rowbottom made a surprise visit to HMAC where Knox is the General Manager of the club.

According to Rowbottom’s campaign, the press release drew international media attention, and attracted new campaign donors from as far away as Washington State.
