Hershey, Pennsylvania – A press release from The Hershey Trust Company Board of Directors announced that Janice L. Bratton was named Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at its December Board Meeting. Ms. Bratton, who was named Chief Investment Officer in 2018, was serving as acting CEO and CIO since October 2020.

“Ms. Bratton has served the Hershey Trust Company with distinction in a variety of senior management positions including her recent service as acting CEO & CIO. The Board recognizes Ms. Bratton’s exceptional leadership capabilities and investment acumen, and has great confidence in her ability to lead the organization during this exciting time,” stated Diane Koken, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hershey Trust Company and Board of Managers of Milton Hershey School.

As Chief Executive Officer of Hershey Trust Company, Ms. Bratton leads its senior officers and team members in the management and operations of the organization. She works directly with the Board of Directors and dedicates focused time on Trust Company strategy to uphold its commitment to excellence in trust administration and asset management and advancing the legacy and vision of Milton and Catherine Hershey. Ms. Bratton continues to lead the investment team, while representing Hershey Trust Company in trustee matters for the three trusts it serves: The Milton Hershey School Trust, The M.S. Hershey Foundation, and the Hershey Cemetery Perpetual Maintenance Trust.

Charity Rosenberry named Vice President of Finance

Hershey Trust Company also announced that Charity Rosenberry, CPA, CGMA has joined the organization as Vice President of Finance, effective March 15, 2021.

According to the release, Ms. Rosenberry joins Hershey Trust Company from the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System (PMRS) where she served as Chief Financial Officer. Throughout her more than 20-year career, she served in a variety of finance and accounting leadership roles with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, and the PA Employees Benefit Trust Fund. She is a graduate of Penn State University, where she obtained her B.S. in Professional Accountancy and her B.S. in Finance.
