Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Dauphin County detectives on Thursday filed 15 felony charges against Pennsylvania Democrat committee member Brad Koplinski for allegedly possessing child pornography. Koplinski appeared in court Friday afternoon, where Magisterial District Judge Hanif Johnson released him on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Judge Hanif Johnson’s campaign for office was bolstered by Koplinski as a committee member of the PA Democrats.

The low unsecured bail amount set by Joshson was a shock to concerned citizens in Harrisburg who are now calling out the judge, when earlier this week Johnson hypocritically spoke out about changing the residency laws on pedophiles living close to schools.

Court records said detectives got a tip that 36 child images had been uploaded to two Internet Protocol addresses in Harrisburg; both of which were registered to Koplinski’s wife. Detectives searched his home in August and he cooperated with the investigation, according to court records. Detectives said they found at least 15 images of suspected child pornography on Koplinski’s laptop and some thumb drives.

As of Friday, Pennsylvania Democrats have reportedly ended all associations with Koplinski.

Last year, Koplinski ran unsuccessfully to be the Dauphin County Clerk of Courts but lost to the Republican incumbent. He ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination to be lieutenant governor in 2014.
