Enola, Pa – Pennsylvania State Representative Dawn Keefer issued harsh criticism of the Governor Wolf administration during a live press conference in Enola, on Thursday May 14. Keefer appeared along side Senators Mike Regan, and Doug Mastriano, who spoke out regarding a local barber who had been cited by township police for operating his private business during Gov. Wolf’s unconstitutional stay-at-home quarantine order.

During her speech, Keefer criticized Governor Wolf’s lack of transparency and accountability amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Pennsylvania. She said the administration failed our senior citizens, who were denied help when it was repeatedly requested.
This week, Keefer alleged that “Dr. Levine & Wolf prioritized prisoners over our senior citizens.”
Pennsylvania officials released prisoners during the early stages of the pandemic as preventative measures, but took little action to assist our state regulated nursing homes, putting our seniors in harms way, thus resulting in thousands of preventable deaths.
According to Keefer’s May 19 press release, she wrote, “Ironically, the state had an aggressive plan prepared to respond to virus outbreaks in senior living facilities. However, for some reason, the Wolf administration failed to follow their own plan. Levine’s Department of Health used an extremely scaled back and watered-down plan, it wasn’t even implemented until the middle of April, weeks after outbreaks had ravished these facilities. Keep in mind this was about the same time Wolf prioritized prisoners over seniors when he released criminals from prisons claiming to be protecting them from a possible COVID-19 outbreak.“
Dawn Keefer represents the 92nd district of Pennsylvanians, serving Northern York County.
