Lt. Gov. Fetterman “grateful for Dr. Levine” – Tweets that Pennsylvania needs LGBTQIA medical protection

Update: The following day Fetterman published another message of support for Dr. Levine, inspired by the hashtag #RespectforRachel on Twitter and Facebook and a Facebook fan club with more than 3,000 members. They describe Levine in such glowing terms as “our sweet angel on earth” and “Pennsylvania’s calming mother.”

Harrisburg, Pa – Today, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman tweeted about LGBTQIA protection, citing a Politico article claiming that President Trump is going to end protections for LGBTQ patients.

However, an administration official said that there are no protections to “scrap” given that Texas Judge Reed O’Connor tossed the Obama-era policy last year.

In the tweet Fetterman alluded to “50K fellow Americans dead,” and quoted a partial line from the article to give the impression that homosexuals are being “barred health care discrimination based on sex and gender identity.”

A constituent of Fetterman’s from Chester County tweeted in response that this report was basically fluffed up hype, calling it a “nothing burger” and an attempt to play the “victim card.” Essentially the Political article is a fake news report.

Later in the day President Trump tweeted, “Remember, the Cure can’t be worse than the problem itself. Be careful, be safe, use common sense!”
