Councilman Cornelius Johnson is the first public official to be named as part of a local organization’s quest to hold taxpayer funded employees accountable.
After months of complaints from life-long residents to the city, it is no secret that 1837 & 1839 Rudy Road is on their radar.
What is more disturbing is how Harrisburg City Council Member Cornelius Johnson has had direct knowledge about this specific problem, and has bold faced lied to residents of the city. In this video, at the 43:36 mark, at an October 19th, 2017 Codes Meeting, Cornelius Johnson not only says how he has specific knowledge about these properties that a resident was complaining about, specifically at the 44:53 mark, Cornelius states that if a property is deemed hazardous, the CITY will secure them.
The next day, the unsecured property was set on fire. A week later there was another fire.
More disturbing, is that almost 40 days prior to the codes meeting, Cornelius had a Facebook exchange with another resident, where the resident practically begged him to visit the property.
A follow up on that Facebook post, Cornelius said he did visit the property.
Cornelius: Why are you lying to city residents? If you have no intention of performing, then don’t look us in our faces and lie.
In a recent Facebook post, Friends of Allison Hill, who spearheaded efforts to clean this entire block up, posted a video of the aftermath of how fake politicians will look you in your eye and lie, and go on social media and lie, and then look the other way when senior citizens lives are put in danger.
