Update: May 5, 2025 — The Derry Township Planning Commission has approved plans for the new Rose Garden Pavilion at the Hershey Conservatory.

Hershey, Pennsylvania — Plans for a 3,500 square-foot building addition to the Hershey Conservatory will soon be reviewed by officials for approval. The M.S. Hershey Foundation has submitted a land development plan to build a permanent Rose Garden Pavilion in Derry Township.

The design of engineering consultants Kurowski & Wilson LLC includes a new loading zone in the Hershey Gardens at 170 Hotel Road. Plans call for driveway improvements to accommodate tour buses, as well as stormwater management with bituminous pavement and bicycle-safe stormwater inlets.

The design will be reviewed by the Derry Township Planning Commission as listed under new business on its public meeting agenda for May 6.

The Hershey Gardens launched a capital campaign to raise funds for the $3.5 million project. Donors who gifted $5,000 or more are to be acknowledged on a future Donor Recognition Wall.

The new 3,500 square-foot Rose Garden Pavilion will proudly mirror the same beauty and elegance as the Hershey Conservatory
