Stalkers Use Defamatory Campaign to Doxx and Endanger Family

Angie Wong, Miami Executive District Committeewoman, has gone public with her story of being the target of a defamatory online campaign orchestrated by convicted criminals Christi Tasker and Stan Fitzgerald. Through a coordinated effort involving misleading articles and a Change.org petition, Tasker and Fitzgerald have published baseless accusations against Wong, while maliciously doxxing her residential address, thereby putting her family, including minors, at risk. The misinformation campaign relies on self-produced content published on fraudulent websites vfaf.us to give the appearance of legitimate sources, all while perpetuating lies to harm Wong’s reputation and safety.

The Abuse of Free Speech Platforms

Wong, known for her efforts to protect American citizens’ rights and ensure community safety, is calling attention to the loopholes in free speech protections that enable platforms like Change.org to be used as tools for harassment. “There is no basis to the claims Tasker and Fitzgerald have made, and their links lead back to self-produced content on their fraudulent websites,” said Wong. “This is an abuse of the First Amendment, and one that current laws are not equipped to handle. Two convicted criminals have found a way to weaponize free speech, and they are using it to spread absolute garbage about me and my family because I refused to bow to their blackmail.” A case that Wong has reported to the authorities. “Unless you have limitless cash to hire lawyers to pursue the abusers, you are stuck with defamatory posts about yourself for life. President Donald Trump got it right when he said, ‘Fake news, fake news.'”

The Background: From Operation Bullpen to Operation Bullyproof

Fitzgerald’s criminal history dates back to his involvement in Operation Bullpen, the largest U.S. consumer fraud case of its time according to the FBI, where he was found guilty of selling over $100M forged sports memorabilia. 

A Miami jury last month found Christi Tasker guilty of assaulting police officers and disorderly conduct, further highlighting her history of aggressive behavior. She also hosted a counterfeit veterans event that was actually paid for by Senator Rick Scott, causing FEC violation headaches for his campaign. Both Fitzgerald and Tasker have continued to engage in dubious activities, leading up to this latest campaign of harassment. 

“In spring 2023, I was a partner in L Strategies, working to support conservative causes. But when I uncovered financial wrongdoing by Stan Fitzgerald and Jared Craig, I became the target of a smear campaign,” said Wong. “What they’re doing now is an extension of that — trying to ruin my reputation and silence me.” 

In response, Wong has launched Operation Bullyproof, an initiative aimed at combating the misuse of social media and online platforms for harassment, intimidation, and defamation such as Change.org. The campaign’s name is a nod to Fitzgerald’s notorious criminal past, emphasizing the need for stronger protections against digital abuse. “I named it after my stalker’s infamous case, where he was sent to jail for Operation Bullpen. Now, it’s time to fight back against bullies who misuse platforms to harm others,” Wong stated.

Fighting Back Through Legislative Change

Wong never aspired to be a lawmaker, but the relentless harassment she has endured has compelled her to take a stand. “I got into politics to protect Americans and defend those who need defending. I never wanted to be a lawmaker, but now I have no choice,” she said. “This incident, where two convicted criminals can publish defamatory content online without oversight or consequence is a glaring gap in our legal system. We need laws that address the abuse of platforms that hide behind the shield of free speech, allowing crimes to be committed under the guise of ‘opinion.'”
