Camp Hill, Pennsylvania – An alleged aggravated assault escalated into a police standoff at an apartment complex in Camp Hill on Thanksgiving.

Police eventually used stun grenades to subdue the male suspect who is accused of stabbing a woman. He was barricaded in an apartment on Erford Road.

According to the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, they responded to a 911 hang up on November 23 at 6:57 p.m. Police were able to make contact with a victim, who indicated she had been assaulted and stabbed. The alleged suspect was barricaded within the residence.

Throughout contact with the suspect he threatened officers and threw items at the officers. Officers were eventually able to take the suspect into custody at approximately 1:24 a.m. this morning.

The East Pennsboro Township Police Department would like to thank the following agencies who assisted at the scene: Police officers from Camp Hill, Hampden Twp., West Shore Regional, Lower Allen Twp., the Cumberland County Special Response Team, Dispatchers from the Cumberland County Department of Safety, East Pennsboro Township EMS, and Enola Fire Company .

The suspected was arrested for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and other charges. He is currently awaiting preliminary arraignment.
