Camp Hill, Pennsylvania – Seven elected Republican Committee People (CPs) accused of violating a bylaw of the Cumberland County Republican Committee (CCRC) were “suspended indefinitely” in a trial-like disciplinary proceeding, called by the Cumberland County Republican Committee Chairman Lou Capozzi. An eighth elected CP is suspended until the November general election, at which time he will be reinstated; and the ninth CP, who was appointed, has been permanently removed.
This report comes from the accused CPs who were charged with violating a bylaw that requires their support for endorsed candidates.
The meeting, which was closed to the press and public, went on for about 5 hours, from 10 a.m. til about 3 o’clock. It attracted about 20-30 protestors on the grounds of the West Shore Elks, holding signs showing their disapproval of the meeting. Some CPs were seen leaving early and throughout the duration of the long-running meeting, while the court-like proceedings were still going on inside, including votes taking place as to whether the accused were guilty of violating a bylaw, or not; and a follow-up vote as to whether their punishment should be “suspension” or “removal.” (The suspension, however, was termed an “indefinite” suspension and that had some of the accused questioning what that timeline means.)
Comment has been sought from the accused; and also from CCRC Chairman Capozzi. More information will be published when remarks are received.

at todays CCRC closed meeting.

If the CCRC by-laws require endorsed candidates be supported by all elected members of the committee then the by-laws maybe an unconstitutional violation of their first amendment rights to free speech.

Capozzi = Putin.
Capozzi = Hunter B.
His only goal is to preside over the People’s Republic of Capozzi. Charlatan. Opportunist. Democrat Collaborator ad infinitum. Big Democrat contributor trying to secure a judicial appointment from the Big Democrats he has helped with big money and favors for decades…He now apparently aims to deliver victory for DEMOCRATS this November, bringing the Democrat commissioner husband into his campaign inner circle. It sure seems This divisiveness is NO Accident.
Angry because commissioners refused to extend his personal corruption of the party machine (already no pristine example of ethics) into the county government. Already stuck taxpayers for thousands in fees through a corrupt “verbal contract” on nursing home management made with commissioner DiFilippo years ago. Expected to get the facility gifted to him when we divested it for his own GRIFT.
He and his chief financial backer Greg Rothman only have one shared goal: self-advancement paid for by pilfering the public treasury through political chicanery. Their agenda isnt better government. They want to stop our record of progress in demonstrating that pro-taxpayer policies work to hold the line on spending. They prefer commissioners who will front for the tax hikes that provide them with: Make work jobs for cronies. Cushy taxpayer funded jobs for campaign workers. Lucrative contracts for their friends and donors. THIS IS THE REAL PURPOSE OF ENDORSEMENTS.
Even more troubling: Angry that his inability to deliver votes (underperformance of GOP candidates is growing) cannot be blame shifted onto compliant commissioners who would blame election machines, or “fraud”or otherwise cover the decline of party through other unethical/ illegal dealings, centered around excluding ballots.
We will be profiling the other “toxic turds” that have run the party into the ground when needed: Paul Lewis, Debbie Keys, former chair Dick Stewart, and “election integrity” con man John Cobb and others. The hypocrisy and entitlement of these nobodies (each incapable of winning and holding elective office yet demanding to call the shots on those who can)is the true cancer that threatens not just our party but the underpinnings of our representative system with their demands to hide/destroy ballots, disregard court rulings, and engage in voter intimidation and disenfranchisement so as to control the votes they cannot earn in good faith from our voters (who they disrespect completely).
Capozzi and the “Capozzi crime family” are holding these nine dedicated committee volunteers hostage in order to secure silence about the deep seated corruption of our party values, and the rot that we are experiencing internally while they tolerate and even encourage liberal and radical elements take over by promising the open taxpayer money tap that these “Republican leaders” covet as much as our opposition party does.
These leaders need to resign or be removed. But they have no interest in what is best for representative government or a better Republican party — only their own position. And They have staffed up the committee slots with cronies which means they won’t remove these charlatans no matter how bad things get. Their solution to ending our slide isn’t to listen to voters more: it is to listen to our voters even less. Representative government cannot survive that shift. Our Founders would define these actions as the true Treason.
At some point, having the party leaving our voters and our values behind means the voters will leave our party behind. It is already underway. What we are witnessing in this episode is an insult to our Constitutional rights and to the tenets of the Republican party.

To more fully understand the “Republican” agenda at work in this election, and in Cumberland County, please visit my website at http://www.voteEichelberger.com. This site includes a link to my FB page where I comment from time to time on happenings surrounding conservative politics and the Cumberland GOP (NOT the same thing at all!)
One thig to understand is that this is not just that “committee persons supported an unendorsed candidate” — it is that they supported an incumbent conservative Commissioner who refuses to play the corruption game and who has delivered nine consecutive no-tax-increase budgets for the county. (Yes, me) They challenge me every election — and yet, voters seem to appreciate what we have accomplished. naturally, the party machine peddles a very different version of my record and the reality than is documented in their attempt to pollute the debate. Sounds fishy. yes? …Until you understand that the “Republican” party in Cumberland County is now just an influence-peddling syndicate that has promised lots of taxpayer-funded goodies to those who kowtow to the party chairman and his power hungry gang of thieves. Those who don’t play along are TARGETED with abuse, lies and smears.

WHERE DOES THIS CIRCUS LEAVE US?
County GOP now has no money to combat the aggressive push we should expect from Democrats to flip this county. They spent it all trying to replace an effective commissioner, who won’t allow chairman and his merry band to carve up the county treasury for their benefit. They have (again) focused on tearing down one of their top vote getters, with no regard to the perception for Fall elections.
They now threaten to “withhold” support for their nominee (a violation of state GOP bylaws) but they have nothing to support their candidates with anyhow. They squandered both assets and goodwill.
Cappozzi claims he has achieved “unity” by cutting out the “cancer” of anyone who disagrees with him and his shady methods from participation. This moron does not understand that this form of unity spells defeat – certainly in statewide elections because Cumberland is an essential part of counterbalancing the big cities — but also because our county’s electorate is changing, and now shifting away from its historical loyalty to our party. Perhaps more effort on wining over new (and skeptical existing) voters and less effort on excluding their ballots would be a good start.
This moron likewise claims I a not supportive enough of “conservative” causes and candidates — but he refused to allow a Mastriano sign in his yard (he supported Barletta) alongside all other campaign signs — partly out of spite and partly because his wife is virulently pro-abortion. And his record of big contributions to Democrats is too hard to hide. I respect everyone’s right to support or not support a candidate on issues they consider important — but I CAN’T support the use of blatant hypocrisy and LIES to mislead votes and further one’s political agenda especially when you are in a position of some responsibility for our party or representing the People.

Well said Gary. We the people of Cumberland County are sick of the elites deciding who we get to vote for. How can we help remove these traitors from the GOP? Please tell us how to help so we can allow we the people to vote for whatever conservative we want to and remove these RINOs from our ranks.
