Hershey, Pennsylvania – The Derry Township middle school teacher who was arrested and admitted to possessing child pornography in December has now been charged with 6 additional felony charges.
Arthur Neal Titzel’s preliminary hearing was held today at 11:30 a.m. in Cumberland County Court. Titzel was a teacher at Hershey Middle School. According to the Derry Township School District, none of Titzel’s victims are tied to the school. He was bailed out of prison by bondsman on a $50,000 monetary bail posted on December 9, 2022.
Titzel has now been charged with a total of 12 felony counts of child pornography. His formal arraignment is scheduled for April 10, 2023 in Cumberland County Court.
According to court documents, along with at least five files of child pornography found on a USB drive, Titzel also admitted they would find even more on his phone.
The documents also show he was put on the radar of the Attorney General’s Child Predator Services in April 2022, after being flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tips for file uploaded to messaging app, Kik.
