CAMP HILL, Pa – A Moms for Liberty (M4L) chapter has formed locally, amid overreaching state and local controls being imposed on public school students; and a Capitol rally is scheduled Saturday to highlight their efforts.

The M4L groups are aimed at unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of the government. And, their numbers are growing across the state and nation, including Camp Hill.

“We currently have 14 chapters in PA,” said M4L Representative Tina Descovich, who helped co-found the organization in Florida this past January. But, she said, those numbers are growing steadily across the board. Nationally, there are 130 chapters and counting in 30 states and approximately 56,000 members.

In Camp Hill, approximately two dozen parents attended a meeting Sept. 26, kicking off their local chapter; and in Mechanicsburg, a M4L group is being planned.

“It is no surprise that we have more chapters of Moms for Liberty in Pennsylvania than almost any other state. Pennsylvania has such a rich history of Americans standing up for Liberty and parents are ready to reclaim their fundamental right to direct the upbringing, education and care of their children,” commented Descovich.

The rally, set for Saturday from 2-4 p.m. on the Capitol steps, will feature multiple speakers. Scheduled at this time are: Kathy Barnette, GOP Senate candidate; Margie Shaeffer, M4L, Franklin County, and longtime medical freedom advocate; Dave Golowski, ReOpen PA; Kim Waigand, Crack’d Egg; Milo Morris, anti-CRT advocate; and Steve Lynch, GOP candidate for Northampton County Executive.

Among the issues these parents are fighting are: mask mandates; arbitrary quarantine policies; CRT-related curriculum; andvaccine mandates.

Last Thursday, the Cumberland County M4L chapter kick-off meeting was held, featuring two guest speakers: PA State Rep. Dawn Keefer, R-York County; and Lois Kaneshiki, Pa. State Coordinator for No Left Turn in Education.

If you are interested in forming a local chapter, or joining an existing one, visit MomsforLiberty.org. And, it’s not just moms. Dads, grands, aunts, uncles who want to join the fight are free to join with the only condition being that you reside in the school district where the chapter has formed.

Moms for Liberty is a non-profit organization. The organization’s mission is to organize, educate and empower parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government.
