It appears that the Cumberland County Republican Party is once again not being consistent or transparent.  I recently met Jeffrey Clark, the winner of the Republican primary election for the position of District Magistrate for magisterial district 9-3-04, which covers Hampden and Silver Spring townships.  There was another District Magistrate position that was open and that was magisterial district 9-1-01, which covers Lower Allen Township and the boroughs of New Cumberland and Shiremanstown.  The winner of the Republican primary election for that district was Chris Delozier, the incumbent.  I want to make it very clear that I have nothing against Chris Delozier.  My letter pertains to the actions or lack thereof regarding the Cumberland County Republican Party.

What I find interesting is that Chris Delozier is listed as a supported candidate on the November 4, 2025, Republican poll card for his district.  Chris won his election and should be listed on the poll card.  No problem.  Yet Jeffrey Clark, is not listed on the Republican poll card for the district in which he won the Republican primary.  Can anyone on the county Republican committee explain why Jeffrey Clark’s name doesn’t appear on the poll card?

As stated, I met Jeffrey Clark not long ago and was quite impressed with him and his credentials.  Jeff is a decorated military veteran of the USAF and served during Desert Storm, was decorated with multiple awards and has obtained four law enforcement degrees.  He has served for various police departments, including the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.  He strikes me as a genuine individual and the position of district magistrate seems like an excellent fit.  Why is the county Republican Party not supporting this very qualified candidate?  No surprise, the rumor mill is quite extensive on this one.  If I had to bet on a reason for why Jeff is apparently being shunned by his own political party is the likely continuation of the patronage that runs rampant in the county Republican Party.  When I was county commissioner, I had to deal with some of these people and unless you did what the so-called leadership told you what to do, you would not be supported.  Maybe I’m being naïve but how are you going to get the best candidates if they must play “the game” with a group of party leaders that in my opinion, are short on integrity?  In addition, what happened to the other Republican candidates that were planning to run for Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas but suddenly disappeared shortly before the May 2025 primary election?

Some recent letters submitted by other concerned Republicans seem to hit on the same topic.  When I see names mentioned like Capozzi, Silcox, and Nestor it really makes me wonder what is really going on within the county Republican Party.  I hope someone within the Cumberland County Republican committee will comment on these issues with the truth.

Scandals, lawsuits, financial deficits, bullying, and mass resignations is what failed CVSD leaders Heather Dunn and Greg Rausch will be remembered. These are the same people that political novice Dr. Michael Verber touts as inspirational leaders. Let’s set the record straight…the facts speak for themselves.

You mean the scandals they covered up. As more and more people know just how much and to what extent they covered up very serious issues this is going to become explosive. They are slowly circulating now but the moment this hits the media it will go viral. Nothing can stop the truth from coming out.

Now Verber’s people are ripping out their opponents signs. What an absolute disgrace. The pettiest group in Cumberland County. They have the most signs and the most expensive signs. So why are they stealing signs from their opponents?

It could be any democrat. We don’t know who has been taking signs.

Oh my God. Verber just emailed all his customers to vote for his PAC candidates. No way he ran that by his partners. He could lose half his customers. Not sure this thing was legal. He really is losing his mind.

Does that open his company to liability? Based on what I’ve been seeing and hearing if they raise taxes above that limit after lying and colluding together with the board wouldn’t that expose his own company to get pulled in to a lawsuit as well? Can anyone answer this?

News Flash: Wasn’t aware that ALL Verber Group parters were in agreement with Mike Verber’s political views and endorsement of Democratic candidates! Since he lasts ALL partners on emails, they must approve then?

Just saw Dr. Verber’s email to customers (like me). He just lost my business and probably many others like me. Wow, I trusted the Verber Group. Not any more!

Are you saying Dentist Michael Verber used his patient list, emailed patients and asked them to support his chosen political candidates? If true, is this a HIPAA violation? An ethics violation? Did he use his professional letterhead and sign the emails as Dr. Verber, Verber Dental Group? Verber, will you respond to this accusation?

Can anyone explain how the CV borrowed money moved to the general account is now a surplus? I do understand that you can take reserves or borrowed money to close a deficit and “balance” the budget. I don’t think that is really balanced. But how can you call that borrowed money a surplus? They have to pay it back with interest right? The actual expenditures are still greater than income correct? What is their long term solution? People said a year ago that we could go into bankrupt and have a state takeover. Has anything changed?

Mr Gossert wants to pretend he has integrity. For those interested please look up the Cumberland Valley scandal where he lead the charge to declare eminent domain on McCormick Farm. See the newspaper articles and public reactions. Look at the insider deals that they attempted.

It is time to clean up CVSD.

Jeff Clark won the Republican primary for district judge yet Christine Line, who decided to run late, has switched her party affiliation to Democrat just to win the vote (with the help of her RINO friends). This may be legal, but it shows an unpleasant underlying nature that seems to be present today in the Republican Party.

Thank you for commenting on the original topic of my letter which is the race between Clark and Line.

So many of the same individuals were involved in many other similar races this election. We need to discuss all their stories, just like Jeff’s. Verber, Lou, Nestor and a few others are behind most of these betrayals.

There is so much more scandalous information to hopefully come out about that. Many of these races were affected by very unethical and very unscrupulous people. There were a few candidates, like Jeff Clark, who were good, honest, hardworking individuals who would have benefited the citizens of this community unlike the rotten politicians that the RINOs and democrats shoved over the finish line. Our community will suffer because of the corrupt politicians and large donors who harmed this community for petty political gain.
