Harrisburg, Pennsylvania — This week, United States Senator Bernie Sanders spoke directly to city students and staff from John Harris, SciTech, and Cougar Academy at Harrisburg High School.
The speech focused on students and their “lived experiences,” as well as their educational goals, college and careers, challenges, and the importance of civic engagement.
The school district thanked Sanders for expressing his passionate interest in education in a written statement.
“The Harrisburg School District extends sincere thanks to Senator Sanders for visiting Harrisburg High School to connect and engage in meaningful conversation with our students.”
