Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania — Joshua “Josh” Prince, Esq., a Pa. attorney with more than 15 years of distinguished leadership in legal advocacy and defense of constitutional freedoms, has announced his candidacy for the Commonwealth Court. This announcement comes ahead of the 2025 election to fill the vacancy left by retiring Judge Ellen Ceisler.

“Ensuring justice through fair and impartial application of the law is not just my campaign promise—it is my track record,” said Prince. “I am committed to using my years of experience and expertise in applying the law as it is written to serve and improve the lives of all Pennsylvanians. Supported by my wonderful wife, Jessica, who has been an integral part of my journey, we look forward to meeting voters across all 67 counties.”

Prince has argued 45 cases before the state’s appellate courts, with an unparalleled track record of securing favorable outcomes. In just the past 6 years, Prince has litigated 13 cases before the Commonwealth Court alone, with 10 wins, 1 loss (which is pending appeal before the PA Supreme Court and likely to be reversed) and 2 cases outstanding decisions.

He is notably recognized for persuading the Commonwealth Court to reverse its own binding precedent, a decision the PA Supreme Court later affirmed. His numerous precedent-setting cases and proficiency in navigating complex legal scenarios underscore his acumen and readiness to serve on the Commonwealth Court.

SAFER COMMUNITIES – A steadfast advocate for law and order, Prince has consistently worked to uphold justice and enhance safety and security in homes, workplaces, schools, and communities across Pennsylvania.

PROTECTING RIGHTS – As a fierce defender of constitutional freedoms, Prince’s legal advocacy vigorously affirms the Second Amendment, religious freedoms, and family values, safeguarding Pennsylvanians’ enjoyment of their constitutional liberties.

JOBS & ECONOMY – During the COVID-19 pandemic, Prince actively opposed lockdowns that threatened local businesses and jobs. His work successfully resulted in policies that helped reopen the economy and stabilize Pennsylvania’s economic health.

For those unaware, the Commonwealth Court is the only court in the Nation that beyond being both a trial and appellate court, is a court of direct government oversight. In relation to this, Prince said, “I’ve spent my entire career, in the federal and state courts, holding the Government accountable to our laws and Constitution. It is what I am known for and cannot think of a more appropriate court for me to preside on, especially given the utmost importance to Pennsylvanians of the government being held accountable, no different than the citizenry.”

In preparation for the 2025 election, Prince invites Pennsylvanians to visit PrinceForJustice.com to learn about his campaign and how Commonwealth Court decisions influence everyday life.

From interpreting laws that affect schools and workplaces to safeguarding freedoms and families, Prince is committed to restoring trust and integrity in Pennsylvania’s judicial system.
