Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania — An illegal immigrant who has been living in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania now faces multiple charges in connection with a brutal, drawn-out assault, on Sept. 14th, that landed his victim in the hospital.

An ICE detainment order has been issued for a man named Gustavo Chiguichon-Garcia, who is now incarcerated at Cumberland County Prison.

Hampden Township Police responded to the late-night active assault at Denny’s on Carlisle Pike, where they found the man intoxicated in the driver’s seat of his Ford Explorer.

The unnamed victim told police that prior to the trip to Denny’s, the assailant reportedly punched her in the back, head and stomach; grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the ground during an argument at their home.

It was then that the man threatened his victim to get in the car, or he’d resume beatings. The assault continued on the drive from Chambersburg to Denny’s – where the victim was reportedly struck, strangled and hair pulled. The complaint mentions at least three children that were in the vehicle with them.

At one point, the man stopped at Sheetz and made the victim buy him a 12-pack of Modelo; he then allegedly beat her with the beer cans and got alcohol all over the children.

After that stop, he took them to Denny’s and made the woman and three of the children go in to pick up his food order, at which point the victim called police.

Before they went inside the restaurant, the man reportedly told the victim he was going to kill her and “chop her into pieces.”

The victim was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, where she had visible bruises to her face, hands, and leg.

The Hampden Township Police which filed the charges briefly mentions the incident in their monthly blotter as a “domestic” at the reported time / location. No mention of this was made in local news reports.

Police also reported that the suspect performed poorly on field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test.

The man now faces charges of Strangulation and Endangering Welfare of Children, both felonies; as well as three misdemeanor charges of Endangering Welfare of Children; two misdemeanor counts of Simple Assault; one misdemeanor Terroristic Threats charge; a misdemeanor DUI charge; and two summary Harassment charges.

Hope that hbg100 will follow up with more pertinent information on the perp, who should not be here, and clearly wouldn’t become an upstanding citizen.

How long has he been in The U.S., and when did he cross the border? What’s his country of origin?

Are the three (!) children, the biological children on the victim and the perp? Or perhaps just the children of the victim? Or are they “unaccompanied” minors, parents unknown.

Are our tax dollars subsiding this man’s behavior and existence in Pennsylvania?

    Please follow up.
