Harrisburg, Pennsylvania — A wave of drug overdoses at Dauphin County Prison sent 10 inmates to the hospital, with one patient in critical condition.

Dauphin County Commissioner Douglas confirmed there were 10 benzo overdose patients from the prison transported to the hospital, with one inmate being in critical condition. An investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the drugs into a prison block, he said during today’s Dauphin County Commissioners meeting.

Commissioner Douglas said the inmate’s condition has improved over the weekend.
