Harrisburg, Pennsylvania — An ICE detainer has been issued for a man who played dead on the street, then assaulted a woman and stole her car after she stopped to help him.
According to police, the suspect, identified as 28 year-old Mubarak Amin, was undressing and lying down in the road near 32nd & Wayne Street near the ramp to I-83 North at 7:30 PM on February 4.
When a woman stopped her car and got out to help him, he immediately attacked the female and threw her to the ground before getting into her car and speeding away. He wrecked her car nearby and was quickly apprehended by a K-9 police unit in Swatara Township.
Amin was taken into custody and was charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, evading arrest or detention on foot, simple assault and DUI.
He was transported to Dauphin County Prison, and bail was set at $100,000. Court documents indicate that an ICE detainer was issued on February 5.
