Update: Robert Bennett was promoted to Sergeant of the Derry Township Police Department at tonight’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
Hershey, Pennsylvania — A Derry Township school board member is officially stepping down. At the February 24, 2025, General Board Meeting, the Board of School Directors accepted the resignation of Director Robert Bennett.
He had been a member of the board since December 2021. The board thank Bennett for his time, service, and contributions in helping to support and strengthen the district.
With his resignation, the board is now seeking qualified individuals interested in filling this vacancy through the expiration of Mr. Bennett’s term on November 30, 2025.
The interview and appointment date will be announced during the March 10th General Board Meeting.
