Update: 15 year-old Warren Grant has died after allegedly being shot by 16 year-old Jaylen Prince in the boys bathroom of Joppatowne High School.
The sheriff’s office noted that the suspect had been involved in over 10 prior incidents.
Joppa, Maryland – EMS crews are responding to a shooting at Joppatowne High School. A 15 year-old was shot in the boys bathroom by another student.
A 16 year-old suspect is reportedly in custody.
According to police, some students sheltered in place, and others fled to into wooded areas when they were evacuated from the school. The students are now being reunited in a nearby church parking lot, and are being released to their families.
Police said the shooting occurred during a fight between students that was an isolated incident.
