Dear America, we are once again getting it wrong. As I watch the American two party system oppress the ability of the American people to choose the best candidate, I am concerned that there are too many people asleep at the wheel, wearing a mask, and forgetting their child in the backseat of the car. And if you have not thought to question why Harris is your presumptive nominee, you are one of them.
Enjoying a coffee at 5:00am comes with a perk, I can approach the other early birds (usually only one) in a woke, slow paced environment when the person has just been caffeinated to the point where they don’t care if I am asking them political questions. Two victims, this time, one being an early twenties female. She votes, but doesn’t feel confident in her vote. Why? Like most people, she is actually quite torn between two different ideologies. Being a second amendment lover, but a pro-choice advocate, she votes strictly because of the “d” behind the name of the candidate, with a self-acknowledged lack of information. The only other person who made eye contact and is a democrat who is in their lower 40s, admittedly a low information voter, but knows that she is voting for Harris for the “renewed sense of enthusiasm.” Houston, we have a problem. We, as a society, cannot continue to vote based on ease and what the television tells us.
The most bizarre thing I have learned when talking to people, whether democrats or republicans, is the lack of knowledge that they can vote for a third person. It is not too often, but we have a person with a power name that can overcome a broken system of two parties… when the last name is Kennedy, anything is possible. The fear put into both parties is that is it a wasted vote, however, like the Ross Perot vote of yesteryear, that is a fallacy bore upon the people to trap them into voting for a candidate who doesn’t really represent them. The attempt to keep Kennedy out of the race by the large media networks, other presidential candidates, and even his own family are quite obscene.
However, what I find most shocking are the democrats who will actually back Harris with no consideration for Kennedy. Let us review. Biden received the 14 million votes to be the official democrat candidate. Overnight (or should I say within one debate), the democrats oddly allowed the American people to see the true state of the “president” that most conservatives knew about from the beginning. The democrats then installed a candidate of their choice… the most radical, communist extremist candidate with the worst approval rating in the history of the vice presidency. They will have to completely scrub her record in order to get her over the finish line. Meanwhile, what I have found in my 5am woke conversations is that most liberals are not communists. They have torn beliefs much like many conservatives and follow what CNN is telling them because they don’t have anywhere to turn. These people have been voting democrat for generations and have no idea their party has changed. Meanwhile, they have a true democrat candidate sitting in front of them and seem to be missing him like a Jewish man believing Jesus is about as real as an Easter bunny. After watching the democrats protest at any given point my entire life and wondering if any of them actually have a job, why are they not protesting now? Get Kennedy on stage with the other candidates… the American people deserve it.
I want to be clear here. I am Trump fan because he proved himself as president once before, and that’s a distinct advantage in my head. However, I do tend to lean more as an independent and critical of both parties. I would not be upset if I woke up to a Kennedy presidency because at least I know he loves our country without the intent to destroy it even though we disagree on most issues. He doesn’t have a record that needs to be cleaned up like Harris since he has actually held to the values that most liberals have fought for through the years… and his intentions seem to be quite good. I believe he could have easily won the democrat nomination had he been allowed to run against Biden (and the democrats knew that which is why his campaign has been suppressed to all voters). The question is why is it so dangerous for that party to back him? And if his past political relatives are any indication of what type of person he is, he will have the backs of the American people.
His basic premise…. Stop the division. We are being politically pigeon holed by hiding the candidate from the political stage and because he means it, “they” don’t like it. He wants to stop spending on foreign wars (I think we can all agree on that), stop corruption in the government (I personally don’t know anyone who loves corruption), rebuild the middle class along with the infrastructure, find a solution for the serious addiction issues facing America, and address the rise of chronic disease. Most important by my standards … stopping the weaponization of the government and I do believe he has the fortitude to achieve this.
The bigger questions are where he stands on the more controversial issues like abortion, gun rights, medical freedom and economics (yes, this is now a contentious issue since most Americans are unable to afford groceries and prescription meds, but do not seem to know why). Kennedy’s stance on guns rights from the past would make any true conservative cringe, but it seems in the later years, his position is more moderate (and I do not believe it is because he is running for office). He believes in the constitution, as a part of the bill of rights, believes in that freedom. However, and rightfully so, he points to the shift in society where people became the issue, not necessarily the guns and that is the gun issue that needs to be addressed. My guess on this would be that he is aware of the hearings in the 1990s that showed an increase in violence in kids put on SSRI drugs, but one can only guess. What I do know is he is intelligent enough to put it together and seems to be one candidate that does inflate or use hyperboles to endorse his own opinion.
Abortion is an economic discussion with Kennedy, which could easily be fixed with a non-oppressive government that stops taxing people to their demise. He is not trying to kill babies up until the day of birth like his opponent, so there is a slight bonus. While my view will never slide over to the idea that we can undo the consequences of our decisions by eliminating another human being, he does have limitations.
Medical freedom is one topic that seems to elude most people since they don’t even know they have lost the ability to make their own medical decisions in most cases. Kennedy is a champion in this area, more researched and grounded than any other person I have encountered. The basic premise… do you believe you have a right to know all the positive and negative consequences of a medication or medical procedure… and then say yes or no to said product? He does and will fight for your right to choose. This is one of the most basic premises of freedom that has been lost to communist revolutions . . . so tread carefully.
To summarize for the democrats who actually want to know what is going on: Harris or Kennedy. Harris has been caught up in multiple sexual scandals. She talks about keeping the black family together as she became the mistress of a man breaking apart a black family. Her rise from mediocracy was not merited, but bedded. She knows how to work a man and use them to her full advantage. She cannot keep a staff, her turnover rate is above 90% . . . which when looking at it, may be a benefit if we can get a 90% turnover with the senators and congressmen. Biden is out, and we hope that Pelosi isn’t far behind. Harris seems to have the brain of a McChicken sandwich, so there may be more we need to discuss, but its just hard to tell what’s going on inside that cackling little head.
Kennedy on the other hand, whether we agree or disagree, has held on to his values seemingly at his own peril; integrity is hard to come by. When a man is willing to stand for what he believes without pandering to a financial influx, that sets him apart (much like Trump). The
United States, perhaps for the first time, may actually have two candidates that cannot be bought. This is historical. The question is whether or not the liberals will wake up and see what absolute gold they have in Kennedy. Or they’ll blindly follow Harris, and that is terrifying.
