Hershey, Pennsylvania — Multiple reports of entries into vehicles with items stolen have recently been made to the Derry Township Police Department, between August 7th and August 8th.

Police urge residents and visitors of the township to lock and secure your vehicle when left unattended.

“Always lock your doors, keep your windows up, and limit valuables left visible or accessible inside of the vehicle.”

Update: More than 25 vehicles were again broken into overnight Wednesday Aug. 21, to Thursday Aug. 22 in three Hershey neighborhoods, according to Derry Township police.

The vehicles were in the Southpoint, Southpoint Commons and Deer Run communities, which are next to one another off of Middletown Road.

Police believe “multiple people” were involved in the thefts. They’re asking residents to check security cameras and to lock their vehicles.

Derry Township was also targeted by thieves two weeks earlier.
