Two young children shot in Harrisburg shootout on Sunday afternoon

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Multiple shootings were reported in Harrisburg around 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. Two children, age three and eleven, were allegedly shot in a shootout that occurred near 18th and Regina Street. An eleven year old girl was allegedly shot in the stomach, and a three year old boy was shot in the leg by a stray bullet, according to reports at the scene.

Photos from the scene show shell casing markers scattered across the intersection. The shooters have not yet been identified.

The eleven year old girl is undergoing emergency treatment Sunday evening, according to a release from the city.

A thirteen year old boy was also allegedly shot in the leg while riding his bicycle, and he was found near 16th & Market Street.
