Update: The facility was granted permission to resume operations after passing a follow-up inspection on 9/25/23.

Hummelstown, Pennsylvania – According to a notice posted today on the front door of Wendy’s on Hersheypark Drive in Hummelstown, the building is temporarily closed for business due to a rodent infestation.

A live cockroach was observed under the assembly area in the kitchen during an inspection on 9/09/23. Cockroach activity was also logged during an inspection in June with no corrective action taken.
The order is being enforced by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services.

This is a developing story.

Sadly my stomach hasn’t been well ever since I stopped by the drive thru on Wednesday, while I was in the area stalking a personal injury victim for a greedy defense attorney.
