Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – As FTX now seeks to recoup its losses, Pennsylvania Governor-elect Josh Shapiro is faced with a scandal regarding the dark money that funded his campaign for Governor from Sam Bankman-Fried.

Pennsylvania Senator Doug Mastriano yesterday called on Josh Shapiro to return the fraudulent FTX money donated to Shapiro’s Gubernatorial campaign during the the 2022 election.

The Wall Street Journal highlighted the topic, stating that Federal prosecutors have said Mr. Bankman-Fried used customer deposits to fund his trading firm and make political donations.

Sam Bankman-Fried allegedly doled out millions in charitable donations from FTX.

Shapiro plans to celebrate his inauguration in Lancaster County. The Inaugural Ball for Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor-elect Austin Davis is scheduled at Rock Lititz on Jan. 17, 2023.
