Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Colonel Doug Mastriano, the GOP nominee for Pennsylvania Governor has challenged the democrat nominee, Attorney General Josh Shapiro to debate solutions for the issues most important to Pennsylvanians in two debate sessions proposed in October.

Under the terms of Mastriano’s proposal, each candidate would select one of the debate venues, and each would also select the moderators at their venue. However, according to PennLive, Shapiro’s campaign said Tuesday they had no interest in working off of Mastriano’s terms.

As reported by Washington Examiner: Mastriano, a state senator who represents Gettysburg, wrote in a letter to Shapiro, the state’s attorney general, “I challenge you to two 90-minute debates in the month of October, one at a location of your choosing, and one at a location of my choosing.”

He suggested that each debate have two moderators, “again, one of your choosing and one of my choosing — who will be allowed an equal number of questions asked of each candidate. The topics for the debates can be open-ended with no limits.”

The old model of unfair debates run by the mainstream news media or hosts with a hidden partisan agenda is not something I will entertain,” Mastriano said.

This is a developing story.

  3. Would Mastriano choose as his moderator the insane “prophet” who has spoken at his rallies and claims that Nancy Pelosi drinks babies’ blood?
