DePasquale fought against stand-your-ground law, said Trayvon Martin killer should have been prosecuted as a murderer

On the topic of gun rights during an interview on Memorial Day, DePasquale said, “I fought against the stand-your-ground” law, and he specified that Pennsylvania has a castle doctrine, but no stand-your-ground law. He said that if the case of Trayvon Martin had occurred in Pennsylvania, Martin’s killer would have been prosecuted as a murderer.

‘Stand Your Ground’ – Gun Rights Rally will be held in Harrisburg on Monday, June 8, at 10 a.m.

An event advertisement that has generated interest from over 10,000 people on Facebook is advocating for attendees to “come out armed.”
However, an event organizer has clarified that the rally is concealed carry only, and they are advising that no rifles, or long guns be brought to the event in Harrisburg.

Brandon Flood personally supports regulating assault weapons with magazine of 10+ rounds

Brandon Flood advocates for black gun ownership, but also said he does support a “more rigorous process” to regulate any assault weapon that has the capability to hold a magazine of ten or more rounds. He said that he does not support a full ban on assault rifles. Flood adamantly declared this stance to be his personal opinion, not his official position as the Pa Secretary of Pardons, appointed by Lt. Governor Fetterman.
