Update: The photographs of Governor Tom Wolf praying are from a Muslim religious event that Wolf hosted in an official capacity at the Pennsylvania governor’s residence in August 2019 during Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf was spotted in recent photographs praising Allah.

It has become evident through the photographs that Wolf has in fact already converted. According to Islam it is not permissible for a non-Muslim to pray either in the ranks or on his own.
It is required that one converts to Islam before he prays, then to purify himself [by doing ghusl], and then fulfil the conditions of prayer.
He is included in the obligation of prayer, and he is to be punished if he does not become Muslim and pray, but it will not be accepted from him unless he enters Islam.
Governor Wolf has developed a rapport within the Muslim community. National headlines circulated for weeks following the outburst of Wolf being “horrified” by lawmaker Stephanie Borowicz after she invoked the name of Jesus just before state Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell (D), the Legislature’s first Muslim woman, was sworn in on the Quran at the Statehouse in Harrisburg. This happened on a Monday.
To emphasize their religious allegiance, the following day State Rep. Jason Dawkins (another Muslim lawmaker) was allowed to open Tuesday’s legislative session by reading from the Quran, prompting applause in the chamber.
The Statehouse calamity led to accusations that Governor Wolf is Christianophobic.
In 2015 Gov. Tom Wolf attended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Convention with other Muslims who gathered at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex for the Islamic convention.
Wolf offered some welcoming remarks to the thousands who came from around the world to Harrisburg for the annual convention. Wolf used the opportunity to become acquainted with Muslims, their food and the Islamic culture.

Wolf has not publicly announced his conversion. Based on Islamic law, non-Muslims are forbidden from muslim prayer, especially in the ranks of other Muslims. It is required by Islamic law that one cannot pray as a Muslim until they have converted and proclaimed Allah to be the one and only deity (god).

Why are you refusing to read my FB messages from several days ago when you recently posted new content on your FB page? My questions about whether or not your claim that Gov. Wolf converted to Islam and whether or not the pics you post of him praying with Muslims have been photoshopped are both legitimate questions that need to be answered. If both of these matters in this article are not true, then this article should be removed. Wolf with his face to the floor (vertical incongruent bands from the middle of his neck down to his ear), your article begins with the following statement:

The giveaway in this statement is the phrase “in recent photographs.” In other words, how did Gov. Wolf end up “in recent photographs.” Was he placed there via Photoshop or some other image editing program? Where were those photographs taken and when? And what do you mean by “recent”? Tom Wolf aligns with CAIR political agenda” that is dated August 26, 2019, you posted these same photos along with the statement that “the photographs appear to have been taken from within the Governor’s mansion.” They APPEAR to have been taken in the Governor’s mansion? This is very misleading and implies that the photos are FAKE. This statement is followed by another misleading statement:
“This prayer session may be part of a ritual performed during a visit from the CAIR organization.”
What the heck is that supposed to mean? This also implies that the photos are FAKE. It is your responsibility to prove that the photos are REAL, and until you do so, I’m accusing you of making them up in order to create and spread FAKE NEWS about Gov. Wolf. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I called the Governor’s office and the aid said the photos were not fake, but the Gov. has not converted. You can call them yourself to confirm: 717-787-2500 The aid was helpful and did not act like my call was annoying. I’m sure they will gladly tell you the same.

So, I guess that I need to retract my statement that the pics of Gov. Wolf praying with Muslims are fake, now that the Governor’s office has confirmed them to be real. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that he has converted to Islam or that he hasn’t converted to Islam, even though his office denies that he has converted. Muslims who see these pics may conclude that he has converted because of their understanding of the conversion process, which involves praying the Shahadah with other Muslims, as per the following article:

Apparently, even many if not most Muslims would not view Gov. Wolf’s praying with Muslims (as shown in these pics) is not an indication that he has converted to Islam, per the following statements by a devout Sunni Muslim friend of my brother who asked him about these pics:

One has to think there was some aspect of conversion going on there even if the Gov. does not now describe himself as a Muslim.

When’s the last time anyone saw a Muslim imam agree to make the sign of the Cross in front of rolling cameras?
I’ve heard it said that what Wolf did do by allowing Islamic prayer inside the Governor’s residence is consecrate that house forevermore as Islamic waqf or “Sacred Space” – which he may know or not know, but every Muslim who was present and/or watched online knows it.
